Keep Calm and Kickball On! (Tuesday)

KCCO opened up the season with a blast! In their game versus Balls in an Uproar (our team - shown above), KCCO started the scoring early as they scored 2 runs to start the game. Balls would not stand down as they would score three runs of their own to take a 3-2 lead. Balls would later extend their lead to 5-2. It looked bleak for KCCO, but what did they do? They stayed calm and kickballed on as they scored 3 runs to tie it up. Both teams would score another run as we headed into the last inning tied 6-6. Balls could not do anything so they were hoping for a tie but KCCO had other plans. With runners on 1st and 2nd there was a base hit into right field that would bring home the winning run and KCCO would get their first victory of the season. KCCO will take on Zangers tonight in what looks to be another great game!

Balls in an Uproar will play Don’t Kick Our Balls tonight at 7:55p on field 1, weather permitting.

I’m so bummed. I normally use sm to share personal achievements, but rarely do I ever share shitty personal failure news. So here goes, just to get it out there, clear my soul a little, and let you all breathe a sigh of relief that I’m not leaving the country anytime soon. My QEP-determined relative ranking in my career track does not allow the U.S. State Department to continue my candidacy to the next step of the Foreign Service selection process (don’t ask). I cried. Then David sent me Tiff’s Treats. I’ll take your condolences in a round of drinks sometime soon. Not kidding.
